This certification is generally
recognized as the minimum requirement to charter a vessel for
day cruising during daylight hours in local waters. Topics
covered are: handling a powerboat while underway, docking,
anchoring, person overboard and retrieval drills, weather,
collision regulations, and basic navigation as well as the
Canadian Aids to Navigation System. Make the most of your
course time with two days on the water putting your skills to
work with some classroom work on charting.
Upon completion you will be awarded your CYA Competent Crew
certificate as well as your Pleasure Craft Operator Card
(PCOC).
