Learn what a GPS is and how it works, along
with the terminology in a serious, fun atmosphere. Learn how
to enter waypoints manually and from your computer along with waypoint
planning to ensure a worry free and safe journey. This course also
covers tips on purchasing the right model of GPS for your needs.
At the end of this course the student will know what a GPS is and how it
works; the accuracy using DGPS & WAAS; the relation to using the GPS
with different chart projections and maps; how we use GPS as a
navigational aid with our navigational charts; how to input latitude and
longitude and UTM coordinates as a waypoint in your GPS; and how to use
your computer to make this task a pleasant one.
Bring your own GPS if you have one!
