Students spend 2 evenings in class plus 2
days on the water aboard our 20 foot power boat. Course manuals are
provided at registration and should be reviewed before you start your
on-water instruction. You will now begin your hands on experience with
your boating adventure. This course will provide you with QuickNAV and CYA Power
Certification. Each of these certifications can be taken together or
separate to suit your time frame.
The basics of safety, boating terminology,
systems, tying knots and hitches, and rules of the road are provided in a
serious, fun atmosphere where classroom and hands-on approach are
provided to the student before our cruise in English Bay.
This certification is generally recognized as the minimum requirement to charter a vessel for day cruising during daylight hours in local waters.
