In this seminar course we will explore the sextant and calculations to enable you to take a sun shot during the day to find your position. This is an easy to understand and implement seminar with hands on instruction. At the conclusion of the seminar, you will be able to locate your position by using the Sun, Moon & Stars.

About the instructor:  Dominique Prinet  

Dominique was bitten by the sailing bug over ten years ago in Tanzania, where he began sailing weekly on his own 7 meter cutter vessel.  In November and December of 1998 he sailed across the Atlantic as crew on a Feeling 13; for two weeks, Dominique navigated the waters exclusively with the sextant.  He is a qualified Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) Instructor for Coastal Navigation, Advanced (Electronic) Navigation, and Celestial Navigation, as well as Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Offshore Cruising.
